Study in the UK: Good news for students planning to study in the UK. Nottingham Trent University has announced merit-based scholarships for Indian students. These scholarships will be available to Indian students enrolling in postgraduate programs at Nottingham Trent University in the January 2026 intake. According to an official statement, the scholarship amount can waive up to 50% of Indian students' tuition fees.
Three types of awards are being offered under the scholarship program: the "India Prestigious University Award," valued at £4,000 (approximately ₹4.74 lakh), the NTU International Merit Scholarship, valued at £3,000 (₹3.55 lakh), and the NTU International Scholarship, valued at £2,000 (approximately ₹2.37 lakh). These scholarships will be awarded to students who have an admission offer letter to study at the university in the January 2026 intake.
What are the scholarship requirements?
The 'India Prestigious University Award' is open to students who have graduated from one of the universities: Delhi University, Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Madras (Chennai) University, Kolkata (Calcutta) University, or Bangalore University. To qualify for the scholarship, students must also meet the following academic criteria.
Students with a first-class result: Students with 70% or more marks, a 7.0/10 CGPA, or a 6.0/7 CGPA will receive £4,000.
Students with a second-class result: Students with 55% or more marks, a 5.5/10 CGPA, or a 4.5/7 CGPA will receive £3,000.
To apply for the scholarship, you must first fill out the university's application form. During this process, you'll need to tick the box indicating that you wish to be selected for the India Prestigious University Award. You can also complete a full scholarship application if you wish to be evaluated for an award covering up to 50% of your tuition fees. Last year, this British university awarded scholarships to 1,300 students from over 80 countries.
