When was the exam held?
The UGC NET exam was conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. Following this, the NTA released the provisional answer key and also provided a deadline for raising objections. This deadline has now passed, and the NTA is expected to release the final answer key anytime soon. Besides the answer key, candidates are eagerly awaiting their results.

Why is UGC NET important?
UGC NET is a national-level examination conducted in India. This exam is conducted to determine eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and for awarding Junior Research Fellowships (JRF). This exam is conducted twice a year in a computer-based test (CBT) mode and consists of two papers:
Paper 1: Tests Teaching and Research Aptitude.
