The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the subject-wise schedule for the UGC NET December session examination. According to the notification, the UGC NET December exam will be conducted over a total of 6 days, from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. The exams for different subjects will be held on different days and shifts.
Exam Dates and Shift Timings
According to the notification issued by the NTA, the examination will be conducted on December 31, January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts. Exam City Slip to be released 10 days before the exam
The exam city intimation slip will be made available for download 10 days before the exam date for all applicants. Therefore, the city slip may be released online on December 21 or 22, which you can download to get information about your exam city and prepare for your travel in advance.
Steps to Download City Slip
To download the UGC NET city slip, first visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
On the website's homepage, click on "Advance City Intimation for UGC-NET Dec 2025 is LIVE!" under LATEST NEWS.
Then, enter your application number, password, and security pin and click on the submit button.
Now the city intimation slip will open on the screen, from where you can download and print it.
Admit Cards will be released 4 days before the exam date
Admit cards for the exam will be released 4 days before the exam date. All candidates should note that the city slip cannot be used as an admit card. Therefore, when you go to the examination center, you must carry your admit card and a valid identity card with you. You will not be allowed entry into the examination hall without an ID card and an admit card.
