UGC NET December 2025: There is good news for candidates aspiring to become assistant professors. The NTA has opened registration for the UGC NET exam. Interested and eligible candidates can register for the exam by visiting the official website. Candidates can also apply using the steps below and the direct link provided.
According to the notification issued by the NTA, this exam will be conducted in various cities across the country and will cover 85 subjects. The exam will be conducted entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The test will consist of two papers, both of which will be in objective type (MCQ) format. There will be no break between the two papers.

The NTA will announce the exam city details, admit card release date, and exam schedule later on its website. The application process began on October 7, 2025, and will continue until November 7, 2025 (until 11:50 pm). Candidates can also pay the fees until this date. If anyone needs to correct any errors in their application, they can make changes during the correction window between November 10 and November 12, 2025.

Candidates applying for this exam will have to pay an application fee. General category candidates will have to pay ₹1,150. General-EWS and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay ₹600.
