The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city slip for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, which can be downloaded from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Through this city slip, candidates appearing for the exam will be able to know the city where their exam center is located. Candidates should not mistake this for the admit card. According to the official notice, the UGC-NET exam will be conducted at various locations across the country on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30.

Candidates can download the exam city slip by logging in to the official UGC-NET website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, using their application number and password. The facility to view the exam city slip allocated for the UGC-NET June 2026 exam has been activated for all registered candidates. The NTA has clarified that the city slip is not the admit card for the UGC-NET June 2026 exam; the admit card for candidates appearing in the exam will be issued separately at a later date. How to download the city slip?
First, visit the official UGC-NET website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Then, open the UGC-NET June 2026 login page.
Enter your application number and password.
Submit the login details to access the portal.
View the details of the city allocated for the exam.
Download and save the exam city slip.
Keep a copy of the city slip safe for future reference. 

Admit Card Likely to be Released by June 15
While the release date for the UGC NET June 2026 admit card has not yet been announced, it is expected to be issued by June 15. Candidates are required to carry their admit cards to the exam, as entry into the examination hall will not be permitted without them. The first shift of the exam will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The examination will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode, and there is no negative marking. Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for each question.
