UGC NET December 2024 Result Declared: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the UGC NET December 2024 exam. Candidates who have appeared in the NET exam of the December session can check their UGC NET 2024 result through the official website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. More than 6 lakh candidates have appeared in the exam in this session, out of which 5158 candidates have been successful for JRF and Assistant Professor, 48, 161 for Assistant Professor and PhD Admission and 1, 14, 445 candidates have been successful for PhD admission only.
However, this time the number of candidates registering for UGC NET was more than 8 lakh. Along with the NET result, NTA has also released the UGC NET 2024 final answer key. UGC NET December 2024 exam has been conducted by NTA between January 3 and January 27. This exam was conducted for 85 subjects in CBT mode.
Women ahead of men
According to the data released by NTA, 8 lakh 49 thousand 166 candidates had registered for the NET exam of the December session. This included 4,77,397 women, 371,718 men, and 51 third-gender category candidates. Women have been ahead in registering for the UGC NET exam.
The exam ran at 558 centers for 9 days.
UGC NET December 2024 exam was conducted for nine days at 558 examination centers in 266 cities across the country. The exam was conducted on 3, 6, 7,8, 9, 10, 16, 21 and 27 January. The agency released the question paper, provisional answer key, and recorded response of the UGC NET December 2024 exam on the official website on January 31, on which objections were sought from the candidates from February 3. UGC NET 2024 December result has been announced after verification by experts on the objections. The result has been posted based on the final answer key.
