Student Records: It is mandatory for all universities across the country to upload the academic records of undergraduate and postgraduate students by June 30. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has written to all higher education institutions, directing them to update the marksheets, grade sheets, and credit scores of all UG and PG students for the 2025-26 academic session.

UGC Secretary Prof. Shyama Rath has written to all states, stating that all credit-awarding institutions must upload academic records related to the 2025 examination year—including marksheets/grade sheets and associated credit data—to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) platform by June 30. The upload window will close after this deadline, and no further new uploads will be accepted on the platform.

However, corrections or amendments to previously uploaded records will only be permitted in accordance with the prescribed ABC procedures and established standards. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 promotes integrated and multidisciplinary education.

The objective is to enhance opportunities for lifelong learning for students. Under this system, students can study subjects of their choice at any time, alongside their regular academic courses. The marks obtained are converted into credits and deposited into the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). Academic records for the year 2025 must be uploaded under this framework.
