The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Wednesday that over 93.70 percent of students passed the Class 10 board examinations, with more than 55,000 students securing marks exceeding 95 percent. In total, over 2.20 lakh students achieved marks above 91 percent. Once again, girls have outperformed boys in the examinations. This time, 94.99 percent of female students passed the exam, while the pass percentage for boys stood at 92.69 percent, and for transgender candidates, it was 87.50 percent.
In alignment with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP), CBSE has begun conducting the Class 10 board examinations in two phases. The first examination was held in February-March, and the second is scheduled for May. Students needed to appear for the first examination.
A notable feature was observed in the CBSE results this time around: the results were released on the CBSE website without holding any press conference. The Board did not conduct a press conference to announce the Class 10 results. The Board will share details regarding pass percentages, gender-wise statistics, region-wise performance, and other relevant information on its website.
In addition to the official website, students will also be able to check and download their results via DigiLocker, SMS, and the UMANG app. Students can check and download their results at results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.
According to CBSE, 55,368 students secured marks above 95 percent, while 2,21,574 students obtained marks exceeding 90 percent. Over 1.47 lakh candidates have been placed in the 'Compartment' category. Region-wise, the Trivandrum and Vijayawada regions recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.79 percent, while the Guwahati region recorded the lowest pass percentage at 85.32 percent. Delhi recorded a pass percentage of 97.38 percent.
Institution-wise, the performance of Kendriya Vidyalayas was the best, recording a pass percentage of 99.57%. They were followed by Navodaya Vidyalayas, which secured the second position with 99.42%. Private schools recorded a pass percentage of 93.77%, while government-aided schools registered the lowest pass percentage at 91.01%.
