Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, popularly known as BBAU, is located in Lucknow. This university was established in 1996 and aims to promote higher education. In the year 2016, the university established a satellite campus in Amethi. The university offers 99 courses at the satellite campus in Amethi and the main campus in Lucknow. Which includes Diploma, Integrated PG Program, UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D. The university has a health center with round the clock doctor availability. 50% of the seats in BBAU are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates. 10% seats are reserved for candidates from economically weaker section (EWS).

Admission in the university is done under CUET

At present, the university runs 17 courses at the undergraduate level, 44 courses at the PG level, 2 diploma and three integrated PG courses, 9 courses at M Phil level and 24 PhD courses. The fee for BA in graduation is 12 to 15 thousand rupees per year, and the fee for B.Tech or BBA in innovative programs is 50 thousand to 1.2 lakh rupees, while the fee for postgraduate is 8 thousand to 10 thousand rupees per semester. At the same time, this fee increases to 1 lakh rupees in innovative programs.
