Scholarship: Good news for female students dreaming of pursuing higher education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Four international scholarships are on offer for girls seeking STEM higher education. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide financial support to female students and increase female participation in the STEM industry.

Let's explore the four scholarships offered to female students for STEM higher education and how to avail of them.

Women's Participation in STEM is Unsatisfactory
Women's participation in STEM education and industry is poor worldwide, including in India. According to UNESCO's 2024 report, only 22 percent of STEM-related jobs in G20 countries are held by women. Meanwhile, efforts are underway in India to increase female participation in STEM education. In this regard, female students are admitted to IITs through a supernumerary quota. In light of this, scholarships are offered to female students worldwide for STEM higher education, including four international scholarships.
