The wait for the Re-NEET 2026 answer key is set to end soon; find out when it will be released.
The provisional answer key and response sheet for Re-NEET UG 2026 may be released this week. Candidates will be able to download the answer key from the official website and also raise objections regarding any incorrect answers.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the provisional answer key and candidates' response sheets for Re-NEET UG 2026 this week. Students who appeared for the exam will be able to visit the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, to download the answer key and estimate their probable scores.
Although the NTA has not yet announced an official date for the release of the answer key, media reports suggest it is expected to be released this week.
How to check the answer key
Once the answer key is released, candidates should first visit the official NEET website. There, click on the "NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key" link. Next, enter the application number and password (or other required login details). Upon logging in, the answer key and response sheet will appear on the screen and can be downloaded.
Raising objections against incorrect answers
If a student believes that the official answer to a question is incorrect, they can raise an objection. The NTA will open an objection window for this purpose. Candidates will need to select the specific question, claim the correct answer, and upload supporting documents in PDF format. Objections will be accepted only after the prescribed fee is paid. Subject experts will review all objections, after which the final answer key will be released.
Over 22 lakh students took the exam
More than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the Re-NEET 2026 exam, held on June 21, across centers in India and abroad. According to the NTA, measures such as biometric verification, face authentication, CCTV surveillance, signal jammers, and two-tier frisking were implemented to ensure the exam was secure and transparent. The examination was conducted in 13 languages, and over 5,000 centers were set up for the event.
What was the dress code?
The NTA prohibited full-sleeved clothing, garments with heavy embroidery or designs, jackets, hoodies, clothes with large buttons, and other heavy attire. Clear instructions were also issued regarding footwear; candidates were permitted to enter the exam center wearing only slippers or low-heeled sandals. Closed shoes, sports shoes, and boots were not allowed.
Additionally, the NTA arranged for extra security checks for candidates wearing religious or traditional attire. These candidates were asked to arrive at the center well before the exam started to ensure the screening process could be completed on time without causing any disruptions to the examination.
