CBSE Mandatory Public Disclosure: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again issued strict instructions to all its affiliated schools. The board has directed schools to mandatorily update information related to Mandatory Public Disclosure on their websites. The CBSE has clearly stated that failure to comply with these instructions may result in action against the concerned schools.

According to the board, many school websites still do not have complete information about their teachers. However, according to the rules, the names of teachers, their educational qualifications, appointment status, and self-attested documents must be uploaded on the website. This instruction has been issued by the CBSE several times before through circulars and is also clearly mentioned in the Affiliation Bye-Laws.

School Infrastructure, Fees, and Student Numbers Must Also Be Provided
The CBSE has also stated that not only teacher information, but also the school's affiliation status, available infrastructure, fee details, class-wise student numbers, and contact information should be publicly available on the school website. All this information must be uploaded in the revised format given under Appendix-IX.

Update Information Before This Date
The board has given schools until February 15, 2026, to update all the necessary information on their websites. During a recent inspection and monitoring, it was found that many schools did not have data related to teachers' qualifications on their websites, which the CBSE has considered a serious matter.

Student-Teacher Ratio
The instructions also state that the teacher-student ratio should not exceed 30:1. Also, there should be at least 1.5 teachers for each section. The aim is to provide students with a better academic environment.

The CBSE says that this Mandatory Public Disclosure information is very important for parents so that they can understand the transparency and quality of education provided by the school. The board has warned that if any school fails to comply with these instructions, punitive action may be taken under Chapter 12 of the Affiliation Bye-Laws.
