**Candidates were demanding an extension of the deadline**
It is worth noting that the application process began on May 29. Candidates initially had until June 18 (approximately 21 days) to apply. Candidates had been complaining on social media about the website not functioning properly. According to them, the UPSSSC website had not been working correctly for about a week, preventing a large number of candidates from submitting their applications. Candidates had been urging the Commission to extend the application deadline.

**Important information for candidates who have already applied**
The Commission has clarified that candidates who have already submitted their applications will not be required to pay the fee again.

The Commission has warned that candidates who do not revise their preferences within the stipulated timeframe will be considered only for the posts they had originally selected. No claims of any kind will be entertained after the final modification date.

The most significant change has been made regarding the posts of Assistant Manager (Non-Technical) under the Directorate of Industries and Enterprise Promotion. While there were previously 134 vacancies for this post, the number has now been increased to 181. Additionally, 24 new posts for Tax Officers in the Panchayati Raj Department have been included in the recruitment process.

**What are the qualifications for the Tax Officer post?**
For the newly added Tax Officer post, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the state government.
Regarding the age limit, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1st of the advertisement year.
Age relaxation will also be provided to certain categories in accordance with the rules. Dependents of freedom fighters will be granted a relaxation of 4 years, and candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will be granted a relaxation of 5 years.
