The timetable for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations could be released at any moment. Lakhs of CBSE students are eagerly awaiting it. Students are keeping a close watch for any updates regarding the date sheet and are keen to know when their exams will begin. Here, we look back at when the date sheet for the previous cycle (the 2026 exams) was released and estimate how much longer students might have to wait.

**When the Date Sheet Was Released Previously**
Last time, the final date sheet for the board exams was released in October. However, a tentative date sheet had been issued a few weeks prior—a step that has not yet been taken this time around. Previously, CBSE released the tentative timetable on September 24, 2025, followed by the final date sheet on October 30, 2025. That schedule indicated that the board exams would commence on February 17, 2026.

**When Will the Timetable for 2027 Be Released?**
The date sheet for the 2027 board exams is also expected to be released this month. While the timetable was issued in late October last time, it is believed that the schedule will be released earlier this year. Although CBSE has not yet provided specific details, the schedule will soon be released on the official website. Students may have to wait a few more days.
