Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) has started the admission process for Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD programs for the academic session 2026-27. The admission brochure was jointly released on Wednesday at a ceremony held at the IIC by Delhi Government's Education Minister Ashish Sood and the University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma. With this, IPU has officially commenced the admission process. 24 new courses are being introduced from the upcoming session. The online application process for admissions will begin on February 2nd.

IPU has invited applications for admission to 43,000 seats across its more than 130 affiliated colleges and campuses for UG, PG, and PhD programs. On Wednesday, at the release of the admission brochure, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said that IPU has become a powerful example of public education for the new generation. More than 130 affiliated institutions, over 43,000 seats, and more than 230 courses in fields such as AI, robotics, data science, law, medicine, and design reflect the university's comprehensive vision. He added that nine new institutions have been affiliated with the university this year.
Apply Online from February 2nd
Applications for admission to IPU's UG, PG, and PhD courses can be submitted online from February 2nd. Applications can be submitted through the university's official website, ipu.ac.in. As in previous years, a one-time application fee of Rs. 2500, which includes registration and counseling fees, will have to be paid at the time of application submission.
How to get admission to IPU
Admission to IPU is based on CET, as well as JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, and CLAT scores. Additionally, some vacant seats in certain UG and PG courses are also filled through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). IPU has also decided to fill the remaining seats in its B.Tech program through CUET scores.
