All of them will receive their salaries in their bank accounts on the 1st of the month, according to the new rules.

The Education Department issued the SOP on December 8, 2025. Under this procedure, for regular teachers on the old pay scale, Block Education Officers will send the attendance reports of all teachers to the District Education Officer by the 20th-25th of each month. The District Program Officer (Establishment) will then prepare the salary slips by the 25th and submit them to the treasury on the 26th. The treasury will approve them by the 30th, and the salaries will be credited to the teachers' accounts on the 1st of the month.

Letter sent to District Education Officers
To ensure the smooth implementation of this entire process, the Director of Primary Education has sent a letter to all District Education Officers and District Program Officers. Those receiving their salaries on the 1st of the month include teachers as well as night watchmen. The Education Department has clarified that teachers whose salaries are paid from the state treasury will also receive their salaries on the 1st of the month.

Contract Teachers are also included
In addition to regular teachers, the SOP has also been decided for contract teachers who receive their salaries from the Samagra Shiksha fund. They will have to submit their attendance reports by the 20th-22nd of the month. These reports will be processed and sent to the treasury by the 26th. The treasury will then approve these salary slips by the 30th. The District Education Office will prepare the bank advice between the 26th and 29th of each month. This will be finalized and sent to the bank on the 30th. This process will ensure that all government employees and those receiving salaries from the treasury receive their salaries on the first day of every month.
