NEET PG 2025 Exam: Big news has come out regarding the NEET PG 2025 exam. The Supreme Court has allowed the NEET PG (postgraduate) examination to be conducted on August 3, 2025. The court has extended the earlier deadline given to the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 15 this year. A bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Augustine George Masih made it clear that no further deadline would be given to NBE in this regard.

On May 30, the Supreme Court had ordered that the NEET PG exam be conducted in a single shift only. After this, the NBE filed an application in the apex court seeking an extension of time to reschedule the exam to a later date, as fresh arrangements would have to be made to comply with the single-shift order.

NEET PG 2025: NEET PG exam to be held on August 3

The NBE had approached the court for approval to examine a single shift on the new date (August 3). Which has now been approved. The Supreme Court had already directed that the examination be conducted in a single shift across the country so that fairness and transparency are maintained. The matter came to light after a petition by the United Doctors Front, challenging the decision to examine two shifts. The petition argued that this could create unequal conditions for the competitors and demanded that the examination be conducted in a single shift.

The examination was to be held in two shifts on June 15

It is worth noting that this examination was earlier to be conducted in two shifts on June 15, but the Supreme Court objected to this format and postponed the examination. The court had clarified that examining two shifts may lead to a difference in the difficulty level, which may cause injustice to the candidates.
