SSC: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the dates for the Skill Test under the Stenographer Recruitment Examination 2025. According to the information released by the Commission, eligible candidates will be able to appear for the SSC Stenographer Skill Test on January 28 and 29, 2025.
31,080 Candidates Selected for Skill Test
A total of 31,080 candidates have been shortlisted for the skill test for Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ posts of SSC Stenographer 2025. Of these, 8,624 candidates have been provisionally declared eligible for Grade ‘C’ posts, while 22,456 candidates have been selected for Grade ‘D’ posts. It is noteworthy that the result of the SSC Stenographer 2025 written examination was declared on November 28.
Recruitment for a Total of 1590 Posts
The SSC Stenographer recruitment examination was conducted to fill a total of 1,590 vacancies. Of these, 230 posts are for Group ‘C’, and 1,360 posts are for Group ‘D’.
This recruitment examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on August 6, 7, 8, and 11. Candidates who have qualified in the written examination are now invited for the skill test, after which the final selection process will be completed.
What will be the Skill Test Pattern?
The skill test conducted under the SSC Stenographer 2025 will be of a qualifying nature only. This test will not be included in the merit determination. The Commission has set different criteria for Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’, which must be followed.
During the skill test, candidates will be given dictation in English or Hindi. For Grade ‘C’ posts, candidates will have to write a 10-minute dictation at a speed of 100 words per minute, and for Grade ‘D’ posts, at a speed of 80 words per minute.
