The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification and announced the exam dates for Phase 14 (Selection Posts Examination 2026). According to the notice, the SSC Phase 14 recruitment examination will be conducted from September 16 to September 26, 2026, at designated centers across the country. The exam will be conducted in the CBE (Computer-Based Examination) mode.

**SSC Phase 14 Matriculation Syllabus: 10th-Level Exam Syllabus**
(A) General Intelligence: The test paper will consist of non-verbal type questions. The test will include questions related to similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, decision-making, visual memory, relationship concepts, discrimination/observation skills, figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, etc. It will also include questions designed to test the candidate's ability to comprehend abstract ideas, symbols, and their relationships, as well as arithmetic computations and other analytical functions.
(B) General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the candidate's general knowledge regarding the environment and its impact on society. Questions will also assess knowledge of current events/affairs, everyday experiences, and scientific aspects that an educated person is expected to know. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries, specifically covering history, culture, geography, sports, economic scenario, general polity (including the Indian Constitution), and scientific research, among others. The difficulty level of the questions will be such that no specialized study of any particular subject is required.
(C) Quantitative Aptitude: This paper will include questions related to the number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, basic arithmetic operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, and time and work, etc.
(D) English Language: This test paper will contain questions designed to assess the candidate's basic understanding of the English language, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and their correct usage; additionally, their writing ability will also be evaluated.
SSC Phase 14 Intermediate Syllabus: 10+2 / Higher Secondary Level Exam Syllabus
(A) General Intelligence: The test paper will include both non-verbal and verbal types of questions. The test will cover topics such as: semantic analogy, symbolic operations, symbol/number analogy, trends, figural analogy, Venn diagrams, space orientation, semantic classification, symbol/number classification, drawing inferences, figural classification, punched hole/pattern-folding and unfolding, semantic series, figural pattern-folding and completion, number series, embedded figures, figural series, word building, critical thinking, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, coding and decoding, numerical operations, and other related topics (if any).
(B) General Awareness: This test paper will include questions designed to test the candidate's general knowledge of the environment and its impact on society. The questions will be designed to test the candidate's knowledge of current events and the scientific aspects of everyday life and experiences—knowledge expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries, particularly concerning history, culture, geography, the economic situation, general polity, and scientific research.
(C) Quantitative Aptitude: These questions will be designed to test the candidate's ability to use numbers correctly and their number sense. The scope of the test will include: computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and relationships between numbers; percentage, ratio and proportion, square roots, averages, interest, discount, partnership business, profit and loss, mixture and alligation, time and distance, time and work; basic algebraic identities of school algebra and elementary surds, graphs of linear equations; triangles and their various centers, congruence and similarity of triangles; circles and their chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles; triangles, quadrilaterals, regular polygons, circles, right prisms, right circular cones, right circular cylinders, spheres, hemispheres, rectangular parallelepipeds, regular right pyramids with triangular or square bases; trigonometric ratios, degree and radian measures, standard identities, complementary angles, heights and distances; histograms, frequency polygons, bar diagrams, and pie charts.
(D) English Language: Questions in the test paper will be designed to test the candidates' ability to understand correct English, basic comprehension, and writing ability, etc. Questions in Part-A, Part-B, and Part-D will be commensurate with the required level.
