SSC MTS Result 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the results of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar recruitment examination 2025. These results have been declared to shortlist candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) required for the Havaldar post. The Commission had released the written examination results on August 3, 2026.

**Over 8 Lakh Candidates Appeared for the Recruitment Exam**
The notification for the SSC MTS and Havaldar (CBIC/CBN) recruitment 2025 was issued on June 26, 2025. A total of 3,619,834 applications were received under this recruitment drive. The Commission conducted the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) at various centers across the country from February 4 to February 20, 2026, with 804,633 candidates participating.

**Shortlisting Based on Normalized Scores**
Since the examination was conducted in multiple shifts, the candidates' marks underwent normalization. Subsequently, candidates were shortlisted for the PET and PST for the Havaldar post in a 1:7 (vacancy-to-candidate) ratio, based on the normalized scores obtained in Session-II of the CBE. The Commission also clarified that candidates were considered in the selection process only for those posts and regions they had selected as preferences in their application forms.

**How ​​Was the Selection Made for PET/PST?**
Candidates were selected for the PET/PST for the Havaldar post based on their marks in Session-II of the CBE. To qualify, candidates were required to secure 30% marks for the General category, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for other categories.

Candidates who fail to clear the PET/PST will not be selected for the Havaldar post. However, if eligible for the MTS post, they will remain part of the selection process. The initial allocation results for the MTS and Havaldar posts will be released following the PET/PST.
