SSC GD: The exam scheduled for May 28 will now be held on the 27th; admit cards may be released at any moment...
There is significant news for candidates preparing to appear for the SSC GD Recruitment 2026 examination. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has rescheduled the exam originally slated for May 28. The examination, which was scheduled for May 28, will now be conducted one day earlier—specifically, on May 27. According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T), the change in the exam date has been necessitated by a revision in the holiday schedule for Eid al-Adha (Bakrid).
**Admit Cards Likely to be Released Today**
As per the details provided in the notification, the SSC will issue the admit cards 2 to 3 days before the examination date. Consequently, the admit cards are expected to be released on May 25 or May 26. Once the admit cards are released, candidates will be able to visit the official website to download their hall tickets.
A link to access the admit card will also be sent to all registered candidates via their registered email addresses and SMS. By clicking on this link, candidates will be able to directly download their admit cards.
**Examination Pattern**
The SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 examination will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions. The question paper will be divided into four sections, with 20 questions asked in each section. Questions will be drawn from the following subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and Hindi/English. Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer. The examination also includes a provision for negative marking; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Unattempted questions will not be evaluated.
