An important update for candidates who applied for the SSC GD Recruitment 2026 exam. According to media reports, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the exam date soon. The CBT exam, originally scheduled for February 23rd, was postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

Self-slot booking will not be available for this exam.
The SSC will not offer self-slot booking for this recruitment exam. Candidates will be required to appear at the exam center provided by the SSC.

When will the city slip and admit card be available?
The SSC will release the exam city slip for the GD Constable recruitment exam 10 days before the exam date. Candidates will be able to access their exam city details from the exam city slip and prepare for their travel.
Admit cards will be released four days before the exam date. All candidates will be able to download the admit card online; hall tickets will not be sent to any candidate offline via post.

Exam Pattern
The SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 exam will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will carry 2 marks, while each incorrect answer will result in a 0.25 mark deduction. Questions left unanswered will not be evaluated.
The question paper will consist of four sections, each containing 20 questions. Questions will be asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and Hindi/English.

Recruitment Details
A total of 25,487 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Based on the categories, 616 posts are reserved for the BSF, 14,595 for the CISF, 5,490 for the CRPF, 1,764 for the SSB, 1,293 for the ITBP, 1,706 for the AR, and 23 for the SSF.
