The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the GD Constable recruitment examination across the country from April 27 to May 30, 2026, with over 4.8 million (48 lakh) students participating. SSC GD Result 2026: Steps to check
The SSC will release the GD Constable result online via its official website. Once the results are declared, candidates will be able to check their status using their roll number and name. The steps to check the result are as follows:

To check the SSC GD Constable Result 2026, first visit the official website at ssc.gov.in.
On the website's homepage, click on the PDF link related to the result.
Now, look for your roll number within the document.
Only those candidates whose roll numbers appear in this list will be considered successful in the written test.

Cut-off marks to be released alongside results
Along with the result, the SSC will also release category-wise cut-off marks. Candidates who secure the prescribed cut-off marks will be considered successful and eligible for the next stage of recruitment.

Start preparing for the physical test.
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will have to appear for the next stage, the PET-PST (Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test). Therefore, candidates should start preparing for activities like running now to ensure they can easily pass the physical test. To qualify for the PET, male candidates must complete a 5 km run in 24 minutes and a 1600-meter run in 7 minutes. Female candidates must complete a 1.6 km run in 8.5 minutes and an 800-meter run in 5 minutes. 

Minimum Height
During the physical test, male candidates must have a minimum height of 170 cm, and female candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm. For ST candidates, the minimum height is set at 162.5 cm for males and 150 cm for females. Additionally, the chest measurement for male candidates must be 76 cm (unexpanded) and 81 cm (expanded). Candidates from reserved categories are granted relaxations in height and chest measurements as per the rules; details regarding this can be checked in the image below.

Following the physical test, successful candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination. Physically fit candidates will be appointed to the vacant posts. A total of 25,487 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive.
