SSC Exams: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) issued a corrigendum on October 26, revising the schedules for two major recruitment examinations. The Junior Engineer recruitment examination will now be conducted in two phases, while the schedule for the Delhi Police and CAPF Sub-Inspector recruitment examination has also been updated.

According to the notification, Paper-1 of the Junior Engineer 2026 examination was originally scheduled to be held from November 2 to November 6. While these dates remain, an additional period has been included: the examination will now also take place from November 30 to December 1. This effectively means that Paper-1 will be conducted in two parts—the first part in early November and the second part towards the end of the month.

The Junior Engineer recruitment examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates from the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering branches are eligible to appear for this exam. These recruitments are conducted for various ministries, departments, and organizations under the Central Government.

Delhi Police and CAPF SI Examination from November 23

The Delhi Police and CAPF Sub-Inspector (SI) examination was initially scheduled to be held between November 20 and November 28, 2026. It will now take place from November 23 to November 28, meaning the initial three days have been removed, while the end date remains unchanged. This recruitment process aims to fill Sub-Inspector posts in the Delhi Police and CAPFs, including positions for SI (Executive) in the Delhi Police, SI (GD) in the CAPFs, and SI (Fire) in the CISF. A total of 1,871 Sub-Inspector vacancies are to be filled. The salary for a Delhi Police Sub-Inspector falls under Level 6, ranging approximately from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.

When will the admit cards for both examinations be released?

Candidates appearing for the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) and the Delhi Police-CAPF Sub-Inspector recruitment examinations should keep a close watch on the Commission's official website for updates regarding their admit cards. According to the Commission, admit cards for the Junior Engineer examination will be released approximately 2 to 3 days before the scheduled date of the exam. Candidates will be able to download them by logging into the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Information regarding the examination city has already been released.

Meanwhile, the official date for the release of admit cards for the Delhi Police and CAPF Sub-Inspector recruitment examination has not yet been announced. The examination is scheduled to be held from November 23 to November 28, 2026. It is expected that the Commission may release the admit cards a few days prior to the examination; however, one must wait for an official announcement regarding the specific date. Candidates are advised to regularly check the SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The admit card will contain details such as the date of the examination, shift, reporting time, and the examination center.
