The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for the Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar examination. Candidates who registered for the SSC MTS Havaldar 2026 exam can now check the exam dates for the MTS and Havaldar exams on the official website ssc.gov.in. A total of 7948 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam, with 6810 posts reserved for MTS and 1138 posts for Havaldar.
Exam Dates
The SSC will conduct the Multi-Tasking Staff exam on February 4th and the Havaldar exam on February 23rd, 2026. The self-slot booking process for the MTS exam will begin on January 15th, 2026.
Exam Pattern
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination. The written examination will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 will consist of 40 questions worth 120 marks from Numerical Ability, Mathematics, and Reasoning. Session 2 will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions worth 150 marks from General Awareness and English. Candidates who have applied for Havaldar posts will also have to appear for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST).
PET and PST Pattern
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be eligible to appear for the PET. Male candidates will have to complete a 1600-meter run in 15 minutes, and female candidates will have to complete a one-kilometer run in 20 minutes. The PST will assess the height and weight of the candidates. The minimum height for male candidates is 157.5 centimeters, and for female candidates, it is 152 centimeters. Female candidates must also weigh at least 48 kilograms.
