SSC CHSL 2026: Secure a Government Job – Opportunity to Apply for 2,536 Posts
A golden opportunity has arisen for youths who have passed Class 12 to secure government jobs across various ministries, departments, and offices of the Central Government. The SSC has released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026. Through this examination, appointments will be made to various administrative posts across the country.
SSC CHSL 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026. This exam aims to fill a total of 2,536 posts—including Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)—in various Central Government ministries, offices, constitutional bodies, tribunals, etc.
Eligibility to Apply
For the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), candidates must have passed Class 12. However, for the post of Data Entry Operator (in specific ministries), having the Science stream with Mathematics in Class 12 is mandatory.
Age Limit
The age limit is set between 18 and 27 years. Applicants must not have been born before August 2, 1999, or after August 1, 2008. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government rules.
Pay Scale
₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month for LDC/JSA, and ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month for DEO.
Exam Pattern
The SSC CHSL 2026 is a computer-based examination conducted in two stages: Tier-I and Tier-II. The Tier-I exam will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions covering General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language, with a total of 100 questions (25 questions per subject). Candidates will have 60 minutes to solve these questions, which carry a total of 200 marks. Please refer to the notification for details regarding the Tier-II exam pattern and syllabus.
