SSC CHSL FRTA Result 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the First Round Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025. The Commission issued a notice regarding this on August 17, 2026. A total of 3,515 candidates have been provisionally recommended for document verification under this process.

These candidates have been selected based on their performance in Section-I and Section-II of the Tier-2 examination. However, their further processing will depend on meeting the eligibility criteria for the prescribed CKT and Skill/Typing tests.

13,395 Candidates Submitted Post Preferences
For the SSC CHSL 2025, 13,395 candidates submitted their option-cum-preference details between June 19 and June 25, 2026. The FRTA has been prepared based on these preferences and performance in the Tier-2 exam.

The Commission has implemented a 'sliding mechanism' to ensure maximum utilization of available vacancies. Under this, a one-time re-allocation process will be conducted for eligible candidates.

Slots to be Selected Between August 20 and 22
Candidates deemed eligible for the sliding process must log in to the official SSC website and select their venue, date, and slot between August 20 and August 22, 2026.

Subsequently, the physical sliding process will be conducted from September 1 to September 3, 2026, at designated Regional Office cities.

Participation in this process is mandatory for candidates. Those who do not appear for the prescribed process will be marked absent and will not be included in the final result.

Vacancies to be Filled
A total of 3,131 vacant posts are to be filled under the SSC CHSL 2025 recruitment drive. These positions include roles such as Clerk, Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), and Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA).

The age limit for candidates applying for this recruitment was set between 18 and 27 years as of January 1, 2026. Reserved categories have been granted relaxation in the maximum age limit in accordance with the rules. The minimum educational qualification required was a pass in the 12th standard, while typing requirements also apply to specific posts.

When were the exams held?
The online application process for SSC CHSL 2025 ran from June 23 to July 18, 2025. The Tier-1 examination was conducted from November 12 to November 30, 2025.

Subsequently, the Commission released the answer key on December 8, 2025, and provided candidates the opportunity to raise objections between December 8 and 11. The Tier-1 result was declared on February 27, 2026. The FRTA (Final Result/Tentative Allocation) has now been released on August 17, 2026.

What follows in the selection process?
Candidates in the SSC CHSL recruitment process must go through several stages. These include:

Tier-1 Examination
Tier-2 Examination
Skill Test or Typing Test
Document Verification
Medical Examination

Inclusion in the FRTA does not guarantee final selection. Candidates must still fulfill the requirements for subsequent tests and document verification.

Conditions for Sections III and IV also apply
The Commission based the FRTA on candidates' performance in Sections I and II of the Tier-2 examination. Additionally, the prescribed qualifications for Sections III and IV—as well as the rules applicable in the event of a tie—have been clarified for the respective posts.

Results withheld for some candidates
The SSC has stated that the results of 8 candidates have been withheld, while the candidature of one candidate has been cancelled. Furthermore, 12 candidates have been debarred. The Commission has also stated that the final answer key used in the recruitment process, along with the detailed marks of both selected and non-selected candidates, will be made available on the official website at a later date.

Candidates are advised to carefully review the notices published on the official SSC website regarding the subsequent stages of the FRTA process, the sliding process, slot selection, and other instructions.
