Sikkim: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has launched the CM-SAATHI initiative to assist students with their studies. The scheme aims to provide free, high-quality coaching to students preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET, enabling them to excel in national-level examinations.

Under this program, students will have access to facilities such as video lectures by experts, study materials, mock tests, practice questions, and doubt-clearing sessions. Additionally, modern technology-based learning tools will be provided, allowing students to prepare effectively from the comfort of their homes.

**Over 2,000 students to benefit from CM-SAATHI**
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang stated that the CM-SAATHI initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder any student's education or career prospects. He noted that the program would provide free, high-quality coaching for JEE and NEET aspirants, thereby ensuring equal opportunities for all students.

According to the Chief Minister, approximately 2,000 students from over 40 government and private schools in Sikkim will benefit from this scheme. Furthermore, science and mathematics teachers will receive training and support in collaboration with IIT Kanpur to further enhance the quality of education in schools.

**Plans to expand CM-SAATHI**
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang mentioned that the government is considering introducing similar facilities for other competitive exams—such as CUET, CLAT, NDA, and UPSC Foundation—in the future. He described CM-SAATHI not merely as a scheme, but as an investment in the dreams of Sikkim's youth and the state's brighter future. He urged students to set ambitious goals, study with discipline, and make the most of this opportunity.

The Chief Minister also called upon principals, teachers, and parents to guide the students and motivate them to move forward. He expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education, IIT Kanpur, the SATHEE team, and the State Education Department for their cooperation in making this initiative a success. According to officials, CM-SAATHI will provide students with the opportunity for better preparation for competitive examinations, and in the future, the state will gain new talent in fields such as medicine, engineering, science, and other professional sectors.
