Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar told X, "Given the current situation, all schools, colleges and educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch will remain closed today."
According to defense sources, three civilians were killed in indiscriminate firing and shelling by the Pakistani army across the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir last night.

The Deputy Commissioner of Ferozepur has issued an order saying all schools in the district will remain closed on Wednesday, officials said. He said all schools in Pathankot will also remain closed for the next 72 hours.
Schools have also been closed in Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Fazilka districts, officials said.
