Girls from most the states of the country are being given scholarships by Azim Premji Foundation for higher education. Under this scholarship, every selected girl student will be given an amount of Rs 30,000 annually. Apart from tuition fees, this money can be used on books, hostel, or any study-related expenses. The special thing is that the scholarship will continue for the entire duration of the degree or diploma course.

Who can apply?

Only those girls can take advantage of this scholarship scheme who have passed 10th and 12th class from a government school or college. Along with this, for the first time in the 2025-26 academic session, they have taken admission as a regular student in a degree or diploma course. This course can be offered by any government, recognized private college, or university.

Which states will girls get the opportunity?

This scholarship is currently applicable to the girl students of 19 states and union territories of the country. These include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Application process and required documents
The application process will be completely online. An application can be made by visiting the official website of Azim Premji Foundation. No fee will have to be paid for this. While applying, the students will have to upload these documents:

Recent passport-size photo and signature

Aadhar card

Bank passbook or bank statement for the last month

10th and 12th mark sheets

Proof of admission (bona fide certificate or fee receipt)

All documents have to be uploaded in clear and colored scanned copies.

When and how to apply?

Applications for this scholarship will be made in two phases. First round: From 10 September 2025 to 30 September 2025. Second round: From 10 January 2026 to 31 January 2026.
