Scholarship: There is important news for the students studying in Delhi University (DU). The DU administration has started the application process for the Financial Support Scheme 2025-26. Under this scheme, the fees of the students graduating from DU have to be waived. However, the entire fees of all the students are not waived. The main objective of starting the total financial support scheme is to provide relief in fees to the students from a financially weak background.

The financial support scheme has been started from 2022
DU's Dean Student Welfare Office (DSW) has started the Financial Support Scheme from 2022. At the same time, the application process for the Financial Support Scheme 2025-26 has started from September 10. Applications can be made by visiting DU's official website du.ac.in and dsw.du.ac.in. Under this scheme, students of SOL and NCWEB, including those pursuing graduation, post-graduation, BTech, and law from any department, institute, or college of DU, can also apply for a fee waiver. Provided the eligibility is met.

Who can apply, and how much of the fee will be waived?

Eligibility rules are prescribed for applying to DU's Financial Support Scheme. Accordingly, the fee is waived. For example, 100 percent fee of students whose parents have an annual income of Rs 4 lakh per annum is waived, but the fee should not exceed Rs 15,000. Similarly, a 50 percent fee for students whose parents have an annual income of up to Rs 8 lakh is waived, but it should not exceed Rs 10,000.

EWS/OBC-NCL certificate or annual family income certificate issued after March 31, 2025

PAN cards of all family members.

Certificate of the department or college head/director.

Marksheet of the last passed exam.
Latest fee receipt.
Bank passbook (with student's name, account number and IFSC) or cancelled cheque.
