SBI Clerk Vacancy 2025: A Total of 6589 posts will be recruited
A total of 6,589 posts of clerks will be filled in the organization through this recruitment drive. Of the total vacancies, 5,180 are for regular posts and 1,409 are backlog vacancies. The category-wise distribution includes 2,255 posts for the general category, 788 for Scheduled Castes, 450 for Scheduled Tribes, 1,179 for Other Backward Classes, and 508 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
SBI Clerk Selection Process: Selection Process for SBI Clerk Recruitment
The selection process takes place in multiple stages. It starts with the preliminary exam, which is an online exam of 100 marks.
The next stage is the main exam, which consists of 190 questions and carries 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Additionally, a language proficiency test is also required for candidates who have not studied the local language in class 10 or 12.
It is worth noting that only the marks of the main exam are considered for preparing the final merit list. The final selection depends on passing the eligibility verification and local language test.
Those who clear both the preliminary and main exams will be given a salary ranging from Rs 24,050 to Rs 64,480.
