She issued these directives during a meeting held at Jan Bhawan last Wednesday. According to an official statement, this order will also apply to all government and aided colleges affiliated with Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia. UP Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna has welcomed Governor Anandiben Patel's decision, stating that the disciplinary measures being implemented by her in universities are in the best interest of the students.

The Governor also issued strict instructions to teachers, stipulating that no teacher should engage in any conduct that could tarnish the dignity and prestige of the profession. She emphasized the need for student development and directed teachers to be punctual in attending classes and to ensure the regular attendance of students. Anandiben Patel stressed the importance of improving the condition of women's hostels and ensuring that they remain free from antisocial influences.

She stated that vocational and skill-based courses should be introduced to make female students self-reliant and employable. She suggested offering courses related to beautician training, *Mehendi* art, GST, *Bindi* manufacturing, accountancy, and the preparation of millet-based food products. Furthermore, she emphasized the promotion of organic farming and encouraged students to adopt organic farming practices on their own land to earn additional income.

**Grant Students the Freedom to Choose Subjects**

Anandiben Patel directed educational institutions to grant students the freedom to choose their subjects and to focus on multidisciplinary and multi-task learning approaches. She stated that, in addition to their core subjects, students should acquire knowledge in areas such as Yoga, painting, and other skills to enhance their employability. For colleges facing a shortage of teachers, she called for the arrangement of online teaching facilities and for seeking cooperation from other institutions. She also directed officials to fill vacant positions as soon as possible and to organize regular training programs for teachers.

Teachers Should Publish Research Papers Annually
The Governor of Uttar Pradesh issued directives ensuring that clean drinking water be made available immediately at all Anganwadi centers, primary schools, PHCs, CHCs, health centers, and colleges wherever there is a shortage of clean water. He also instructed all colleges to make maximum use of the ‘INFLIBNET’ and ‘One Nation, One Subscription’ schemes to enhance students' access to national and international books, research papers, and academic materials. Furthermore, the Governor directed all teachers to publish at least two book chapters or research papers annually to promote research and academic writing within higher education institutions.
