Indian Railways Jobs, RRB Result 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the final results of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment exam today, October 1, 2025. This recruitment falls under the railway's most important safety category, where loco pilots are responsible for the safety and smooth operation of trains. The recruitment process began last year. The first Computer-Based Test (CBT) was held from November 25 to 29, 2024. The second CBT was held on May 2 and 6, 2025. Then, the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) was held on July 15 and August 31, 2025. The 18,735 candidates who passed all these stages will now be called for document verification and medical testing.
How many applications were received?
Over 4.9 million candidates applied online for the RRB Loco Pilot recruitment. Similarly, the 2018 ALP recruitment received over 2.5 million applications, but the exact figure for 2024 is around 4.9 million in RRB official notifications and reports. For RRB Ranchi alone, 45,449 applications were recorded.
120-day training will follow the test.
Candidates who pass these tests will undergo 120 days of training. Only after this training will they be able to join the Railways as Assistant Loco Pilots. How many candidates took the exam?

In previous recruitments, such as the 2018 ALP, over 2.5 million candidates appeared for CBT-1. A similar range is expected for 2024, as approximately 50-60% of applicants appear for the exam.
CBT-2 (Second Stage): Approximately 2-3 lakh candidates who qualified for CBT-1 appeared for CBT-2 (May 2025).
CBAT (Aptitude Test): Approximately 50,000-60,000 candidates who passed CBT-2 appeared for CBAT (July-August 2025).
Final Stage: A total of 18,735 candidates are now shortlisted for document verification and medical.

To check the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot result, first visit the official website, rrbcdg.gov.in. Click on the CEN 1/2025 - Assistant Loco Pilot button on the website's home page. Then, click on the link for the list of candidates selected for document verification. You will be able to check your roll number.
