RRB Group D Result 2026: What is the running requirement for Railway Group D recruitment, and why are the cut-offs a topic of discussion?

RRB Group D Result 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the results for the Group D recruitment 2026 Computer-Based Test (CBT). Along with the results, the cut-off marks for all zones and the candidates' scorecards have also been published. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now view their results and scorecards by visiting the official websites of their respective RRBs. The cut-off marks this time have been higher than expected. Notably, in several zones, the cut-off for the OBC category has come very close to that of the General (UR) category. Approximately 1.08 crore candidates from across the country applied for this recruitment drive, which aims to fill around 32,000 vacancies; consequently, the competition was extremely tough.

**Preparing for the Physical Test**
Based on the marks obtained in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), the Railway Recruitment Board has shortlisted candidates for the next stage—the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates numbering approximately three times the available vacancies in each category have been called for the physical test. A PDF containing the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates has been released on the websites of all regional RRBs. Candidates can also view their scorecards online; the link to download the scorecard will remain active until July 16, 2026.

**1.08 Crore Candidates Applied**
Railway Group D recruitment is considered one of the largest government recruitment drives in the country. This time, over 1.08 crore candidates applied for approximately 32,000 posts. The CBT was conducted at various exam centers across the country between November 27, 2025, and February 10, 2026.

**Why is the Cut-off a Topic of Discussion?**
Following the declaration of results, the cut-off marks have become a major talking point. In most zones, the cut-off for the General category ranged between 70 and 80 marks. In several places, the OBC category cut-off was either equal to or only marginally lower than that of the General category. In the Ajmer zone, the cut-off for the General category was 79.70181. The marks were 71.49931 for SC, 71.53425 for ST, and 70.90495 for the EWS category.

RRB Ranchi Cut-off
In the Ranchi zone, the cut-off for the General category was 72.85726. The marks were set at 71.82013 for OBC, 61.63636 for EWS, 58.93889 for SC, and 61.96082 for ST.

RRB Prayagraj Cut-off
In the Prayagraj zone, the cut-off for the General category was 78.12573. The marks were 77.31772 for OBC, 74.14863 for EWS, 72.40928 for SC, and 66.65840 for ST.

RRB Bhopal Cut-off
In the Bhopal zone, the cut-off for the General category was 77.73449. The marks were 77.41022 for the OBC category, 75.07329 for EWS, 73.65820 for SC, and 67.67090 for the ST category.

RRB Ahmedabad Cut-off
In the Ahmedabad zone, the cut-off for the General category was 72.16340. The cut-off was 71.14374 for the OBC category, 67.66500 for EWS, 66.06265 for SC, and 62.13333 for ST.

RRB Bilaspur Cut-off
In the Bilaspur zone, the marks were 76.14274 for the General category, 75.04462 for OBC, 69.90945 for EWS, 67.53247 for SC, and 62.23323 for ST.

RRB Bhubaneswar Cut-off
In the Bhubaneswar zone, the cut-off for the General category was 76.68726. The marks set were 75.43104 for OBC, 69.81246 for EWS, 67.15071 for SC, and 58.18910 for the ST category.

RRB Guwahati Cut-off
In the Guwahati zone, the cut-off for the General category was 77.62741. The marks were 76.96997 for the OBC category, 74.73309 for EWS, 73.86369 for SC, and 66.06097 for ST.

RRB Secunderabad Cut-off
In the Secunderabad zone, the cut-off for the General category was 76.99514. The cut-off marks were set at 76.94165 for OBC, 69.42617 for EWS, 68.93460 for SC, and 65.79706 for the ST category.

RRB Kolkata Cut-off
The Kolkata zone recorded the highest cut-off this time. The cut-off for the General category was 80.22615. The marks set were 76.97864 for OBC, 72.02378 for EWS, 73.57685 for SC, and 63.27346 for ST.

RRB Gorakhpur Cut-off
In the Gorakhpur zone, the cut-off for the General category was 76.49047. The marks were 75.74535 for OBC, 70.00963 for EWS, 68.70157 for SC, and 61.26073 for the ST category.

RRB Mumbai Cut-off
In the Mumbai zone, the cut-off for the General category was 77.89874. The cut-off marks were 77.13178 for OBC, 74.09858 for EWS, 71.31083 for SC, and 65.23729 for the ST category.

RRB Bengaluru Cut-off
In the Bengaluru zone, the cut-off for the General category was 70.28633. The cut-off marks were set at 64.87319 for the OBC category, 62.28060 for SC, 60.43210 for ST, and 60.40044 for the EWS category.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to Follow
Candidates who qualified in the CBT (Computer Based Test) must now undergo a physical test. Passing this stage is mandatory for final selection. Male candidates are required to carry a weight of 35 kg and cover a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes; additionally, they must complete a 1000-meter run in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. 

Female candidates must carry a weight of 20 kg and cover a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes, as well as complete a 1000-meter run in 5 minutes and 40 seconds. The Railway Recruitment Board has also clarified that, in accordance with the rules, candidates belonging to certain categories will be granted exemptions under prescribed provisions during the final selection process.

How to Check Results and Scorecards
Candidates can view their results by visiting the official website of their respective RRB. They can search for their roll number in the result PDF available on the website. To view the scorecard, however, candidates must log in. The facility to download the scorecard will remain available until July 16, 2026.
