An important update has been released for the lakhs of candidates preparing for the Railway Group D recruitment 2025. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the schedule for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), extending the duration of the examination. Originally scheduled to take place from August 3 to August 21, the exam will now continue until August 25. According to the revised schedule, the exam will be conducted in various phases over a total of 16 days. Additionally, important guidelines regarding admit cards, exam cities, identity proofs, Aadhaar verification, and the exam pattern have been issued; all candidates are advised to read them carefully.

**Railway Group D Exam to Continue Until August 25**
The Railway Recruitment Board has released the new schedule for the Group D recruitment 2025 CBT. The exam will now be held on August 3–6, August 9–14, August 17–21, and August 25. While the exam was initially set to conclude on August 21, the duration has been extended following the schedule revision. A total of 22,195 posts in the Railways will be filled through this recruitment drive.

**When Will Admit Cards Be Released?**
The Board stated that the link to view exam city details and download travel authority (for SC/ST candidates) will be made available on the respective RRB websites 10 days prior to the exam date. Meanwhile, e-admit cards will be released four days before the exam. For instance, candidates appearing for the exam on August 3 will be able to download their admit cards starting July 31.

**Exam Pattern and Important Instructions**
The RRB has instructed candidates to carry two original identity proofs to the exam center. One of these must be the same identity proof details of which were provided in the application form. Furthermore, it is mandatory for the Aadhaar card to be unlocked in the UIDAI system to ensure the verification process at the exam center proceeds smoothly.

**Selection Process**
The selection process begins with a single-stage CBT. Candidates who qualify in this stage will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This will be followed by document verification and a medical test.

Exam Pattern
The CBT will be a 90-minute examination comprising 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There will be 25 questions each from Mathematics and General Science, 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. Negative marking of one-third of a mark will apply for each incorrect answer. Exam scores will be calculated based on normalization, and candidates numbering three times the total vacancies will be called for the PET.
