RRB Exam Dates: The Railway Recruitment Board has changed the date of the Technician Recruitment Examination (CEN 02/2025). A notification issued by the RRB states that the CBT exams for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade II will now be held on March 6, March 9, and March 13, 2026. Previously scheduled for March 5-9, this recruitment process will fill 183 Technician Grade I Signal positions and 6,055 Technician Grade III positions.

Candidates will be authenticated on the day of the exam. If the identification documents do not match the previously provided details, they will be denied entry into the exam center. Candidates must bring the original photo identification documents submitted during the application process.

Selection Process
Written Examination (CBT), Medical Test, and Document Verification. Negative marking will be carried out in the CBT. One-third of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Technician Grade I CBT Pattern

This exam will be of 90 minutes duration and will consist of 100 questions. To pass this exam, unreserved category candidates must score 40%, OBC candidates 30%, SC candidates 30%, and ST candidates 25%. There will be 10 questions from General Awareness, 15 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 20 from Basics of Computers and Applications, 20 from Math, and 35 from Basic Science and Engineering. Each question will carry one mark.

Technician Grade III - CBT Exam Pattern

This exam will also be of 90 minutes duration and will consist of 100 questions. To qualify, unreserved category candidates must score 40%, OBC candidates 30%, SC candidates 30%, and ST candidates 25%. The exam will include 10 questions from General Awareness, 25 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 25 from Math, and 40 from General Science. Each question carries one mark.

Like last time, there will be only one paper for the RRB Technician recruitment. This is a major relief for applicants. In 2018, when the ALP Technician recruitment was announced, the Technician recruitment exam was conducted in two phases.

Candidates are advised to download the exam city information slip and admit card on time, arrive at the center at least 90 minutes before the reporting time, and cooperate with biometric verification.
