RPSC: Assistant Professor (College Education Department) Exam 2025, Last Date to Apply is October 19..

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission will conduct examinations for the Assistant Professor (College Education Department) Examination-2025 as per the schedule. A total of 574 posts across 30 subjects have been advertised under the recruitment process. More than 20,000 candidates have applied online so far. The online application process under the new advertisement began on September 20, 2025, with the deadline being October 19, 2025 (until midnight). Offline applications will not be accepted. This recruitment has been re-advertised after the previous advertisement for the same posts, issued on December 13, 2024, was canceled due to major changes in the service rules. Consequently, 170,664 applications received under the previous advertisement have also been rejected due to their inadequacy. Therefore, all interested candidates who possess the required qualifications as per the advertisement will be required to apply online as per the new advertisement, even if they had previously applied under the cancelled advertisement.

Exams will be held on the pre-scheduled dates.
According to the Commission Secretary, the advertisement issued on December 13, 2024, was withdrawn on September 18, 2025, solely due to the addition of a minimum marks provision to the service rules. A new advertisement for the same posts was also issued on the same day with amendments. There has been no reduction or increase in the number of posts in the advertisement. Consequently, examinations for these posts under the new advertisement will be conducted as per the pre-scheduled schedule, from December 1 to 24, 2025. It is noteworthy that the proposed exam dates for these posts were already announced in the examination calendar released by the Commission on December 31, 2024.

Geography has the highest number of posts at 60. Hindi has 58 posts advertised. Chemistry has 55 posts. There are 52 positions reserved for Political Science. 42 positions for Botany. 38 positions for Zoology. 31 positions for History. 26 positions for Sanskrit. 24 positions for Mathematics. 24 positions for Sociology. 23 positions for Economics. 21 positions for English. 17 positions for ABST. 12 positions for Home Science and 11 positions for Physics. 10 positions each for Law and Business Administration. 8 positions each for Urdu and EAFM. 8 positions for Drawing and Painting. 7 positions each for Philosophy and Psychology. 6 positions for Music (Vocal). 6 positions for Public Administration. 4 positions for Music (Instrumental). 2 positions for Textile Drawing and Painting. 1 position each for Persian, Statistics, Garment Production and Export Management, and Dance.

Minimum Marks Provision in New Advertisement
Significant changes to the recruitment rules now require general category candidates to score a minimum of 36 percent in each paper of the written examination, as well as a minimum of 40 percent overall. Reserved categories are exempted as per the rules.
