RIMC Admission 2026: The process of admission in class 8th for the July 2026 session has started in Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun. If your child is studying in class 7th or has passed 7th, then they can apply for admission in this college. The entrance exam will be held on 7 December 2025, and the last date to apply is 15 October 2025.
Military School Application: Who can apply?
For admission to this college, the child must study in class 7th. Those candidates can also apply who have passed 7th from a recognized school. Both boys and girls can apply for admission to this college. Keep in mind that the age of the child should not be less than 11.5 years and not more than 13 years on 1 July 2026, that is, the child should have been born between 2 July 2013 and 1 January 2015.
Military School Entrance Exam: How will the exam be?
The exam will be in two parts:
Written exam: Will be held on 7 December 2025 in Delhi. It will have three subjects.
English: Questions related to language, writing, and comprehension.
Mathematics: Basic concepts of maths and problem solving.
General Knowledge: General Awareness, Science, History, Geography, etc.
Vibal exam: Those who pass the written exam will be called for an interview later. Its date will be announced later.

SC/ST Category: ₹555 (if a valid certificate is available). The fee has to be paid through a demand draft.
How to get the form?
You can get the form from RIMC by sending a demand draft, or you can download the form from the Directorate of Education website. Note that only the original hologram form of RIMC will be accepted. Photocopies or forms printed from outside will not be accepted. After filling the form, the necessary documents like birth certificate, 7th mark sheet, and caste certificate have to be submitted to the examination cell of the Directorate of Education by 15 October 2025.
