Results for the 71st BPSC Mains examination released; 3,392 candidates have qualified..

The results for the 71st BPSC Mains examination have been released, with a total of 3,392 candidates selected. The Mains examination, conducted for 1,298 vacancies, took place between April 25 and April 30, and candidates had been awaiting the results since then. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) at bpsc.bihar.gov.in. Although the revised examination calendar indicated that the Mains results would be released by September, they have been declared following a longer-than-expected wait.

How to check the results:
Visit the official BPSC website at bpsc.bihar.gov.in. Locate the 'Results' or 'Latest Updates' section and click on either. Select the link for the 'BPSC 71st CCE Mains Result 2026'. A PDF containing the results will open on your screen; search for your roll number within the document to verify your qualifying status. You may also download the PDF for your records.

How is the selection process conducted?
The Bihar Public Service Commission’s Civil Services Examination consists of a Preliminary examination, followed by a Mains examination, and finally, an interview. Once these stages are complete, the final results are declared, and positions are allocated based on the candidates' ranks. The interview carries a total of 120 marks; therefore, candidates who have qualified for the Mains must now successfully clear the interview stage. Since there are only 1,298 vacancies to be filled, more than 2,000 of the currently selected candidates will be excluded following the interview round.
