IIT-JAM 2027: IIT Kharagpur has revised the start date for the online application process for the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027. According to the institute's new schedule, registration will now commence on September 12, with the deadline set for October 12.

Candidates wishing to register for this exam must fill out the registration form via the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) once the link is activated by the institute on the application launch date. When applying for IIT JAM 2027, candidates are required to provide all necessary personal and academic details and upload the requisite documents.

Seven Test Papers

Candidates may apply for one or two of the seven available test papers. These papers are Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).

JAM 2027: Application Fee

The registration fee for JAM 2027 is ₹1,000 for one paper and ₹1,350 for two papers for candidates belonging to the Female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories. Candidates from other categories must pay ₹2,000 for one test paper and ₹2,700 for two test papers.

Exam Pattern and Date

The JAM exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). It will comprise Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The exam is scheduled for February 14 and will be held in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
