RBSE: Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar, who was on a visit to Kota district, made a major announcement. He stated that the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer, will offer students the opportunity to appear for board exams twice a year from the next academic session.

The Education Minister stated that this decision was made in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Appearing for the first board exam will be mandatory for all students, while those who pass will be allowed to appear for a second exam to improve their performance in up to three subjects.

In addition, students declared supplementary will also be allowed to appear for a second chance exam in a maximum of three subjects, including supplementary subjects.

Main exams will be held in February and March.
Rajasthan Board exams will be held twice a year. The first main exam will be held in February-March, while after the results are declared, a second exam will be held in May-June, which may be called the "Second Chance Exam."

Both examinations will be based on the full syllabus of the same session, and their study plan and examination schedule will be the same. Students who are absent from the main examination will be allowed to appear in the second examination only upon production of a medical certificate or a certificate issued by the District Education Officer.

The fee for the second chance examination will be the same as for the main examination, and the principle of 'best of two attempts' will apply. That is, the student's higher score in either of the two examinations will be considered for the final result.
