RBSE 5th and 8th Datesheet 2026 Released: Rajasthan Board Final Exams to Begin in February

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced an important update for students studying in Class 5 and Class 8 for the academic session 2025–26. The board has officially released the RBSE 5th and 8th Datesheet 2026, confirming the schedule for the upcoming final examinations. Students, parents, and schools can now begin their preparations in a structured manner, as the detailed subject-wise timetable has been made available in PDF format.

This announcement impacts nearly 27 lakh students across Rajasthan who are enrolled in Class 5 and Class 8 under the RBSE system.

RBSE Class 5 and Class 8 Exam Dates 2026

According to the official notification:

• RBSE Class 5 Final Exams 2026 will begin on February 20, 2026, and conclude on March 5, 2026.

• RBSE Class 8 Final Exams 2026 will start from February 19, 2026, and end on March 4, 2026.

This marks a significant change in the examination pattern, as for the first time, both Class 5 and Class 8 board exams will be conducted in February, instead of their earlier schedules. Previously, Class 8 exams were held alongside Class 10 board exams, while Class 5 exams were conducted in April.

Exam Timing and Duration

The Rajasthan Board has clarified that examinations for both classes will be conducted in a single shift across the state.

• Exam Time: 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM

• Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes

To ensure inclusivity, RBSE has also made special provisions for students with disabilities. Candidates with 40% or more disability will be given an additional 50 minutes to complete their question papers.

Online Application Process

RBSE has already started accepting online applications for the Class 5 and Class 8 board examinations from December 18, 2025. As per the latest update, more than 2.5 lakh applications have already been submitted.

• Last date to apply online: January 10, 2026

Schools and students are advised to complete the application process within the stipulated time to avoid any last-minute issues.
