RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced that the Class 10 board examination will be conducted twice a year. This decision will come into effect from the 2026-27 academic session. The board stated that the objective of this policy is to reduce exam-related stress on students and ensure that those dissatisfied with their performance do not have to wait until the next academic session to improve their results.

According to the announcement, the first board exam will be mandatory for all Class 10 students. Students who pass this exam will be eligible to appear for the second board exam, which will provide an opportunity to improve their marks. Under the new system, students can improve their marks in a maximum of three subjects through the second exam.

When will the Class 10 board exam be held?
According to reports, this decision was taken by Rajasthan's School Education and Panchayati Raj Minister, Madan Dilawar. The first RBSE Class 10 board exam is expected to be held in February-March, while the second exam will take place in May-June. Both exams will be based on the Class 10 syllabus and will follow the same exam pattern and marking scheme. The board stated that students satisfied with their performance in the first exam may choose not to appear for the second exam.

'Fail' or 'Supplementary' will not be mentioned on the mark sheet
The Rajasthan Board has taken another significant decision: the terms 'Fail' or 'Supplementary' will no longer be recorded on any student's mark sheet. If a student who passes the first board exam chooses not to take the second one, their mark sheet will be issued based on the marks obtained in the first exam. Candidates securing less than the minimum 33% marks in any two subjects will be permitted to appear for the second board exam (improvement exam) under the 'Essential Improvement' (EI) category.
