Rashtriya Military School Entrance Exam: Opportunity to make corrections to applications; deadline is October 28—learn the complete process..
There is important news for candidates preparing for admission to classes 6 and 9 at the Rashtriya Military Schools. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided an opportunity to make corrections to the application forms for the Rashtriya Military Schools Common Entrance Test (RMS CET) 2026. Candidates can modify their forms started yesterday, October 27, until 11:50 PM on October 28, 2026. However, corrections are not permitted for all fields; therefore, it is essential for candidates to understand which information can be changed and which cannot.
To make corrections, candidates should visit the official NTA website at exams.nta.nic.in/rms. Carefully review the information provided in your application. If there is an error, check whether that specific field is eligible for modification, and then proceed to make the necessary changes using the available options. The NTA has clarified that no changes to the application will be accepted after the specified deadline. Candidates are advised to review their forms well in advance rather than waiting until the last minute.
Which information cannot be changed?
According to the NTA notice, candidates cannot modify their mobile number, email address, permanent or current address, emergency contact details, or photograph. However, candidates are permitted to change one of the following: their own name, their father’s name, or their mother’s name. Additionally, details equivalent to those for classes 5 and 8 may be updated. Candidates should carefully review these rules before making any changes to avoid further complications while attempting to correct their information.
What other information can be corrected?
As per the issued notification, candidates may also change their preferred examination city. However, the selection of the examination city must be based on the candidate's permanent or current address. The NTA has also clarified that it is not obligated to accept the city preferred by a candidate. Furthermore, changes are permitted regarding information such as date of birth, gender, category, signature, thumb impression, disability certificate, and birth certificate. Candidates who registered using an identity document other than an Aadhaar card may also modify their identification details.
Is there a fee for making corrections?
According to the NTA notice, if any corrections to the application result in a change to the applicable fee, the additional amount must be paid in accordance with the existing rules. This fee can be paid via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. Fees once paid will not be refunded. Candidates should exercise great care when entering information, as this facility is being provided only once. Once the form is modified and submitted, it will be locked, and no further opportunity for correction will be available.
Whom to contact in case of difficulty?
For updates regarding application corrections or the examination, candidates should regularly check the notifications posted on the official NTA website. For any queries or issues, the agency has provided the following contact numbers: 011-40759000 and 011-69227700. Candidates may also send an email to rmscet@nta.ac.in. It is essential to thoroughly verify all information before submitting the form to avoid any complications, as there will be no subsequent opportunity to correct errors.
