Rashtriya Military College: Register by September 30 for Class 8 admission; who is eligible to apply?

RIMC Entrance Exam 2026: The application process for the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) entrance exam is currently underway. Eligible candidates can submit their applications and fees until 5:00 PM on September 30. The exam is scheduled for December 6. What is the last date to apply?
Eligible candidates can apply online for the RIMC entrance exam from September 1 to September 30, 2026 (by 5:00 PM). The examination fee must also be submitted by this date.

Candidates unable to apply during the regular period will have the opportunity to apply with a late fee. Applications with a late fee can be submitted from October 1 to October 7, 2026.

What is the eligible age range for candidates?
This entrance exam is conducted for admission to Class 8. Candidates must fall within the prescribed age limit as of July 1, 2027.

In other words, as of July 1, 2027, the candidate's age must be at least 12 years 6 months or more than 14 years.

What is the exam pattern?
The entrance exam will be pen-and-paper based. It will include questions on Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge. The format of questions will vary by subject:

Mathematics: Descriptive answers will be required.
English: Descriptive answers will be required.
General Knowledge: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be asked.

Therefore, candidates should not limit their preparation to objective-type questions alone; practicing written answers for Mathematics and English is also essential.
