Rajasthan VDO Exam: The Rural Development Officer (VDO) recruitment exam in Rajasthan will no longer be held on 31 August. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has changed the date of the Rural Development Officer Recruitment Exam. Now this exam will be held on 2 November 2025. A total of more than five lakh 40 thousand applications have been received for this recruitment. There are 850 vacancies for the post of Rural Development Officer.

Alok Raj, Chairman of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, has said that more than five lakh youth have applied for Rural Development Officer Recruitment. Seeing such a large number of candidates, the board wants the examination to be conducted on the same day. If the examination is conducted on different days, then the process of normalization will have to be adopted. To maintain transparency with the candidates and give equal opportunity to all, it has been decided to postpone the examination and conduct it on November 2.

The application process was done in June-July.
Applications for Rural Development Officer Recruitment 2025 were taken in online mode from 19 June to 18 July 2025. The eligibility to appear in this recruitment exam is a graduate degree. Along with this, basic knowledge of computer subjects is also necessary. For this, one should have a computer subject in 12th or should have done a diploma in computer from a recognized institute.

Two-stage selection process

Rural Development Officer Recruitment Exam will be conducted in two phases. First there will be a preliminary exam. In the second phase, the main exam will be conducted. Final selection will be done on the basis of performance in the main exam.
