Rajasthan VDO Exam Postponed: Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has postponed the Gram Vikas Adhikari Recruitment Exam 2025. Earlier, this exam was to be held on 31 August 2025, but now it has been postponed.
The exam will be held on 2 November.
According to the official notice, the Rajasthan VDO Recruitment Exam will be held on 2 November 2025. A total of 850 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive, which includes 683 posts in non-scheduled areas and 167 posts in scheduled areas. At the same time, the board will release the new date of the Lab Assistant exam soon.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO) posts through a written examination. This examination will be conducted in two phases: first, the preliminary examination will be conducted, and then the main examination. Only those candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main exam.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will get an attractive salary under the 7th Pay Commission as per Pay Matrix Level-6, which will be as per the standards of government service.
Appointment Process after Selection Process
After the selection process is completed, the list of selected candidates is sent to the Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. From there, the district-wise merit list is prepared, and candidates are appointed as Probationer Trainee. This process is conducted as per the guidelines set at the departmental level.
As per the rules, all the selected candidates are appointed under a probation period of two years. During this period, only the fixed remuneration determined by the state government is provided in place of the pay scale. This amount usually ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 23,700. During this period, they are not given any kind of additional allowance (DA, HRA, etc.).
