Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU) has once again extended the deadline to apply for the Rajasthan PTET 2026. According to the official notification, the last date for submitting online application forms has been extended until May 15, 2026. Additionally, the deadline for making corrections to online applications has been extended to May 17. **What are the Academic Eligibility Criteria?**
**For the 2-Year B.Ed. Course:** Candidates must hold a Graduation or Post-Graduation degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks, provided that such a degree is considered equivalent to the Graduation or Post-Graduation degrees awarded by universities within the state of Rajasthan.
For candidates belonging to reserved categories, a minimum of 45% marks in their Graduation or Post-Graduation degree is mandatory. Candidates currently studying in the final year of BA/B.Com./B.Sc./Shiksha Shastri or MA/M.Com./M.Sc./Acharya courses are also eligible to apply for and appear in the PTET-2026 examination. However, to qualify for admission, they must possess the results and mark sheets of their qualifying examination by the final date of online counseling registration.
For the 4-year B.Ed. (Integrated) Course: Candidates must have secured an aggregate of at least 50 percent marks in their Senior Secondary examination.
In the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Minority Communities, Persons with Disabilities, or those who are Widows or Divorced Women of Rajasthan, an aggregate of 45 percent marks is mandatory.
Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination may also apply by submitting the relevant documents and certificates before the application deadline.
What is the Application Fee?
The application fee for Rajasthan PTET 2026 has been fixed at ₹500. The application fee can be paid online via payment gateways using a Debit Card/Credit Card, Net Banking, or through e-Mitra.
What is the Examination Pattern?
The Rajasthan PTET examination will be conducted in offline mode (Pen and Paper).
A total of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked, each featuring at least four alternative options.
A total of 150 questions will be asked, carrying a maximum aggregate of 600 marks.
The duration of the examination will be 3 hours.
Except the Language Proficiency section, the question paper will be prepared in both English and Hindi languages.
