The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (Ajmer), is set to commence the new academic session for Classes 5 and 8 starting April 1st. Consequently, the results for both classes are expected to be declared shortly. According to media reports, the results (RBSE 5th & 8th Results 2026) are likely to be announced by March 25, 2026. Official dates regarding the announcement will be shared by the Board very soon.

Students May Fail This Time
Starting this year, the Rajasthan Board has discontinued the policy of automatic promotion for students in Classes 5 and 8. As a result, a 100% pass rate is no longer guaranteed; this means that some students may fail the board examinations. However, schools will conduct supplementary examinations for students who fail within 45 days of the results; by appearing in these exams, students can save their academic year from being wasted. It is worth noting that until last year, the Board did not fail any student, and a 100% pass rate was consistently recorded.

Where and How to Check Results?
The Rajasthan Board results for Classes 5 and 8 will be released online via the Shala Darpan portal (rajshaladarpan.nic.in). Individual result notifications will not be sent personally to any student. Once the Board officially releases the results, students—or their parents—can check the outcomes by following the simple steps outlined below.

Step 1: To check the Rajasthan Board Class 5 and 8 results, you must first visit the Shala Darpan portal at rajshaladarpan.nic.in.

Step 2: Next, click on the specific link corresponding to the class for which you wish to check the results.

Step 3: You will then be required to enter your Roll Number along with your District, or your Roll Number along with your Date of Birth.

Step 4: Your examination result will now appear on the screen, from where you can view and verify it.

Original Marksheets to be Collected from Schools
Upon the release of the results, students—or their guardians—will be able to check the outcomes online as well as download a digital copy of the marksheet. The original marksheet will be sent to your school a few days after the results are declared, from where it can be collected.
